Ferrin Contemporary and Project Art will be featuring local artist Mara Superior during the first Hilltown Artist Open Studio Tour (HOST). Mara will be on hand to demonstrate her painting technique on porcelain relief platters during the two-day open house.

HILLTOWN OPEN STUDIO TOUR

HOST is presented by the Hilltown Arts Alliance. This is the first year and it’s an ambitious one. 26 artists at 24 locations throughout the hilltowns, with a group show at the Cummington Community House Gallery. Visit working artists’ studios, many of which are located in unique architectural settings with beautiful gardens to explore.

MEANDER TIMELESS BACKROADS … Get a glimpse into both the creative process and physical work which make up the daily lives of these visionary artists who live amongst  mountain views, streams, and Western Mass rural splendor. Eight studios in Cummington include Beckie Kravetz, June Ferrin, Jeanne Johns, Frances Henry & Walter Korzec, Leni Fired, Judith Bowerman, and Larry Slezak.

Don’t miss studio potters Mark Shapiro in Worthington and Michael Melle in Plainfield.
