20th Century Solutions Teapot: Nobody Knows Why

Notkin’s sculptural teapots explore the complex environmental, political and economic impacts of contemporary human civilization. Often depicting anti-war perspectives, his work rests “upon the ecological and spiritual condition of our planet, and the quality of life of individual human beings. My work is a visual plea for sanity. It’s really quite simple” – Richard Notkin

In addition to being first shown at Garth Clark Gallery and Ferrin Gallery at SOFA Fairs “20th Century Solutions Teapot: Nobody Knows Why” was in Notkin’s studio at the time of filming his segment for “Craft in America”
