Clay is Hot! Panel & DISH + DINE 7-19-15

In conjunction with its current ceramic art exhibition, Glazed & Diffused, Ferrin Contemporary will host a panel discussion entitled “CLAY IS HOT! Good Better Best” on Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. at 1315 MASS MoCA Way in North Adams. Specialists Daniel Farrell, Suzanne Perrault, and David Rago will discuss collecting ceramics made in the late 1800s through today. The panel, moderated by Leslie Ferrin, will focus on provenance, connoisseurship, and values in ceramics, pottery, and porcelain 1900 to the present.

Guests will have a chance to view the exhibition, Glazed & Diffused, before the panel discussion and afterwards during a wine and cheese reception in the gallery space.

From 6:30 to 9 p.m., there will be a DISH + DINE dinner event in the gallery for collectors, artists, the panelists, and guests. Gramercy Bistro, MASS MoCA’s in-house bistro, will serve a Glazed-themed dinner on wood-fired studio pottery by Michael McCarthy. There is limited space and a fee for this event. Click here for information and reservations.
